Font Problem after update. Some Fonts are not working. If I go to my font navigator (Bitstream Font Navigator) I can see all the font names but if I click on the defective ones there is no preview. Re-installing the fonts does not work. The only workaround is to rebuild the font cache and reboot. Apr 9, 2013 I have a sheetset setup for a group of over 100 drawings. I was approached yesterday asking why in the regular select file to open in AutoCAD some of the thumbnail previews won't show up. We checked in options and it is checked to show a preview. Only half a dozen or so of them aren't showing up.

Jun 10, 2013 I just installed Lightroom 5 and the import dialog box is not showing the previews of the images. Without the previews, there are no images to select for importing. It doesn't matter if they are JPG or CR2 and if I try to import from the camera card or hard drive.

Version 4.4 also failed at first but after hacking away, I finally got the older version to work. I am using Lightroom 5, Windows 7 64 bit. Jan 5, 2014 Today when I was importing images off a memory card I noticed the thumbnails in library mode were not showing any previews, they were blank (gray) for only the recently imported items. My other folders' thumbnails are showing previews with no issue. I am working in Lightroom 4. I am using Windows 8 on a HP laptop. A couple of other notes about what I noticed.

In the import screen the thumbnails display the preview. Once the import goes to the Library Mode - thumbnails are blank. Can only see the image number and any symbols indicating tags or changes to the image. Loupe view I cannot get an image to appear. In the Develop Mode if I click on a thumbnail down in the filmstrip (which are all blank) an image will appear in the work area and the filmstrip thumbnail will display a preview of the one I selected.

The thumbnail preview will remain visible for a few moments after moving to a new image. Then it just goes blank again. I was importing jpegs and dngs. Having the same problem with both of these today.

All the other thumbnails in folders that were in the catalog prior to today are visible and working normally. Newly imported images not displaying an image in the thumbnail whether it is in Library Mode, Loupe View, or Develop mode. Jun 19, 2013 I've just worked on a large 16 bit image file in PS CC and saved it as a 4Gb.psb file and now I no longer see a preview in the OS or Bridge, just a PS icon. This is a major issue for me as I work with large files all the time and therefore have to save layered psb files on a daily basis. The lack of previews now with PS CC is more than an inconvenience.

With CS6 I have psb previews ok. I tested two systems running Snow Leopard and latest Mountain Lion to no avail.

I set preferences to never save them, Mar 23, 2006 designing an image at 300 PPI and need to scale it down some how, so it can be viewed by the client. Images designed at 300 PPI are often too large to fit on screen and therefore, the client can not view the overall design.

I usually change the image's resolution to 100 or 72 PPI and save the.psd file as a.jpg and then email them a copy. But with this current method, the artwork seems to come out a little fuzzy and distorted; so I then have to explain to the client, that the actual design does not appear as it is displayed in the preview.
